Welcome to the Grand Lake Rowing Club!

Welcome to the

Grand Lake Rowing Club

Grand Lake is the largest natural lake in Colorado, borders the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Arapahoe National Forest and the Town of Grand Lake. This is one off the most spectacular rowing theaters in the world.

The Grand Lake Rowing Club is a group of folks of all abilities, looking to expand opportunities for rowing in our area. At this time, we have access to two boats – a 2 person shell and a purely recreational (and unsinkable!) shell for the novice.

If you would like to join us in our efforts to find a permanent home, procure more boats, and start some competitions, please feel free to contact Tim at 970-531-6073

May Rowing Clinic 2012

Scott Munn, 1992 Olympic Rower & 1995 World Champion Rower for the United States M4+ class took some time to help out the newbies on Grand Lake this May. Despite frigid water, rowers braved the beach launch barefoot with a calm lake and clear skies. Roger & Tim both made some headway, and ended up doing some off-shore rowing. Scott took a turn at the oars and showed us his style. This was an amazing opportunity to learn technique from a pro!

The Grand Lake Rowing Club asks that members participate in at least one on-water orientation and safety clinic before rowing on their own. The next clinic is scheduled for Saturday, June 23 at 7:00 am. Rowers will meet at the Blue Water Bakery, and head from there to the new boat storage racks just south of the bakery by the Town Pier.

Blue Water Bakery is at
